Truist Park; Atlanta, GA.
Food- 7/10
I got the footlong hot dog and a bottle of Coke for I think just under $20. I thought it was pretty good, the hot dog itself was $12, so really not a bad deal in my opinion. But, overall was typical ball park food options; hot dogs, burgers, nachos, pretzels, etc. Everything was self serve and self checkout which actually lead to pretty much no lines. I was able to get my meal in between innings with time to spare.
Atmosphere- 7.5/10
It was pretty close to sell out, went to Braves vs. Pirates. The Braves won 6-1, and 5 of those runs were scored in 1 inning. The energy from that inning carried over for close to another 3 innings which boosts this score. Typical above average baseball game experience.
Stadium- 7/10
Truist Park is relatively new and you can definitely tell. Really clean, relatively modernized. I sat 3rd tier on the first base line, as you can see by the pictures, actually a really great view. Perfect for the firework show they had after the game. I found it really cool that during inning breaks they would put up baseball phrases on the big screen and translate them into the local Native American tribes’ languages.
City- 8/10
I am going to count this city as the city they built around the stadium — not Atlanta. It would be a great spot to live honestly, especially if you loved going to ball games. Lots of restaurants, offices, apartments, parking, and homes. Really clean and tidy, only minus was that a ton of the office buildings were empty.
Overall- 7.5/10
A great experience if you can get to it, but I wouldn’t exactly go out of my way to go there. Clean all around, easy to get to, don’t really have to deal with the Atlanta traffic or the busyness of Atlanta. Above average, in my opinion.
